Paul Weston
Songwriter - "We are the future"
Biog :
Paul signed to Olav Wyper publishing in 1985. Olav was the man who discovered and launched the careers of artists such as David Bowie, Annie Lennox, Eurythmics, Monsarrett Cabelle amongst many others.
"Feel so good" was first single released in 1985 on Cottage Industry records. This single was produced by PVC (Mike Price, Nigel Voyle and Danny Chang); Mike and Danny had previously written and produced a song for the soundtrack for the Eddie Murphy film "The Golden Child".
Olav introduced Paul to another of his publishing artist Nigel Jenkins. Nigel had worked with Gerry Rafferty on his album "City to City" and played electric guitar on the famous song "Baker Street". Paul and Nigel worked together on a three song project.
In 2001 Paul wrote both songs for the Music Wales single release "We Are The Future", working with Al Steele and Louise Ryan (vocal coach and arranger for Charlotte Church). The songs from this CD were performed on BBC, HTV, S4C, BBC Radio Wales and BBC Radio 7. Performances followed at St David's Hall, Cardiff, Swansea Grand Theatre and Porthcawl Theatre. At the time of writing, "We Are The Future" has been recorded in five different languages and is included on a African compilation album in the kiSwahili language.
In 2002 Paul's song "I Look Through The Sky To Heaven" was recorded by USA recording artist Kelly-Lynn and received a national USA network release reaching number 14 on Indie Chart. In 2004 "I Look Through The Sky To Heaven" was featured on the USA complition album "Somebody Brave" which also featured two songs from one of Paul's favourite artists Alex Acuna. In 2005 Paul's song "Shine" was performed by award winning Welsh sporano Holly Holyoake at the World Championship of Performing Arts in Hollywood, USA. Holly won a gold medal and two bonze awards for her performances. In 2006 Holly performed Paul's song "Shine" on the Aled Jones UK Concert tour. Plan's for 2007 include Paul's most ambitious music project to date, a 15 minute music piece entitled "My Desire". There will be several 'special guest' musicians contributing to this project and there will be more news soon. Paul continues to work with his long time friends Al Steele and Nigel Jenkins on new global song writing projects. |

Peter Brown :
Pete's skills are not so much musical as journalistic. Preferring the written word and a 'back-room' position to the limelight of the stage,
he is an independent music reviewer and has built up quite a reputation for his constructive criticism and advice giving regarding almost any musical genre. An amateur photographer and web site builder, Pete tends to be a motivator and organiser who just likes to get things done - and done right!!
A lover of all things musical he tries to help young artists in his locality with advice, encouragement and, if possible, contacts. Pete frequently gets invited onto live radio with BBC Radio Hereford & Worcester to give advice and talk about the local music scene and is considered a 'cult reviewer' in the area. More recently Pete has also been offered and has appeared as a guest on live television for Ditto Music which specialises in supporting unsigned bands and artists. Not one to attract attention, he tries to keep a low profile until he can be of assistance to someone.
Pete has always longed to take to the stage and 'give it some' but, by his own admission, he can give more back to the music world from a desk and a computer than he can with a guitar! Now aint that a fact!!
