AUTOBIOGRAPHY OF DILLON 'IYAH LAZER' HINES SINGER, SONG WRITER UPDATE NOV, 26, 2007 - Dillon Hines known as 'Iyah Lazer' is one of Jamaica's fastest rising reggae artist, who is on the verge of breaking into the main stream reggae music industry. Born in one of Montego Bay's inner city where he spent the first few years before moving into the country side to live with his grandparents, Dillon Hines credits his mother Jasmine Murray (now deceased) and father Mr.Russel Hines along with his grandparents for teaching him the values of life. He is truly a special talent and one of the more promising song writers coming to the fore front of reggae and dance hall music, he attended the Reohampton Primary anchovy Secondary School (now a high school) and the National Institute of Commerce (NIC), here he studied business subjects such as,commerce, business math, principle of business, office procedure and accounts, it was while attending NIC that he lost his mother and that changed the course of his life, with his father living overseas, music became his friend and confidant, an out and out hard core dance hall dj in his early musical career, he changed into one of the best cultural young artistes. In 1998 after the birth of his son Jamario Hines in 97, he has since set a solid foundation that should see him making great strides in the industry. He has completed a solid 18 track album titled "State of Emergency" with three songs getting relatively good airplay and there's also a music video for the track "blood in the street" from the album that was getting played on local, national cable and TV. stations, all over the Caribbean. He has also appeared on national TV. program 'Smile Jamaica' and 'Ten Seen' on TVJ and 'On Stage' on CVM. He has shared the stage with the likes of Beres Hammond, Beenie Man, Bounty Killa, Lady Saw, Tanya Stephens, Richie Stephens, Mr.Peppa, Singing Melody, and Anthony B., to name a few. 'It has been a learning experience and I am very grateful for the people who have helped me so far, Mr.Lance 'merger' Rose, Dunstan 'pasco' Nicholson, Kirk Richards, Dwight McIntouch, Courtney Green, Jermaine Gordon (graphics & artwork) for the album, Jennifer a.k.a Thiqlady2u (myspace page graphics), Mr.R 'riggy' Washington (video & editing), and my father and son Mr.Russel Hines & Jamario Hines and all who encouraged and showed faith in me'.
