Saara is a 19-year-old singer, songwriter and pianist from Finland. • Won a karaoke contest in 1999, and as a prize, recorded a CD of her own songs. • Won a singing competition in Kotka in 1998, singing her own composition. The composition also won a composing award. • Award from Madetoja Piano Competition in 2000. • Won the Charlotte Church international singing competition, organized in US, in 2003 with her own composition. The Jury consisted of Broadway singers and a music critic from the Los Angeles Times. (CharlotteChurchFans.com) • Performed weekly with 'Teemu and the HenkselitKÖ' vocal ensemble in 2002-2005 • Saara sang in Finnish pre-selection of Eurovision song contest in a group called 'Heidi Kyrö & just' in 2004. The performance was shown live on Finnish TV. • Saara represented Finland in a singing festival in Romania in 2004. The performance was shown live on Romanian TV. • Recorded a pop CD in Bosnia, October 2005 • Saara is studying music in Sibelius Academy and popjazz singing in Helsinki popjazz conservatoire.
