Taylor is an eighteen-year-old classically trained vocalist and songwriter, who lives in the small mountain town of Bailey, Colorado, with her dad, mom, and younger brother. Bailey is only about an hour from Denver, where Taylor receives her vocal training. Taylor enjoys singing crossover and classical music.

Early on in Taylor’s life, it became quite apparent that she had a very special singing voice, and that she loved to share it with others. She stood on a makeshift stage at age three and sang every song she knew, to the rapt attention of her grandmother, aunts, uncles, and whoever else happened to be around. She was a charmer, and part of that charm was due to the fact that she took it very seriously, even then.

At age ten, Taylor’s big, fat opera voice, and her desire to perform, were already astounding her family, classmates, teachers and the rest of the community. So, her mom decided to start looking for a vocal coach. Taylor began lessons with Su Coffey, in Littleton, Colorado, and she remained with Su for two years. Eventually, Su suggested that it was time to move on to the next level of training. In the meantime, Taylor was performing wherever she could, singing classical pieces, classical crossover music, along with Broadway selections. She began auditioning and getting parts in local theatre productions such as 'The Sound of Music'. Taylor auditioned for a new vocal coach, Maestro Nicholas Laurienti, the conductor and artistic director of the Denver Opera Company. They worked together for over a year.

During that time, Taylor recorded a demo CD that included 'The Star Spangled Banner'. This CD, and her local performances, allowed Taylor to develop a strong fan-base, and she received many more performance opportunities, and attention statewide. Some of her most memorable performances have been at the Denver Broncos Football Games, the Colorado Rockies Baseball Games, the Colorado Business Hall of Fame awards gala, a mayoral fundraiser at the Paramount Theatre, and other fundraisers for the U.S. National Opera, and the Celebrity grand Prix of Denver. She was also the pre-show soloist at the Galleria Theatre in Denver, where she sang 'Pie Jesu'. Taylor has performed the national anthem all over Colorado, and it remains one of her favourite songs to sing. At age fifteen, she won second place in an online International Charlotte Church Singing Contest.

Music has always been her 'thing', and Taylor writes her own music for voice and piano, and she plays the flute as well. Her vocal training continues with Judith De Rosa, who had a career in New York herself, and she has focused on perfecting Taylor’s technique. She always seems to have creative ways to get what is needed out of Taylor, while still being careful not to push a youthful voice. Taylor recorded another demo CD at fifteen. This time, orchestral instruments, an arranger and a top recording engineer were brought in to make the most professional CD possible. Once this CD was completed, it became part of a promotional packet that was sent to Sony Classical, New York.

Shortly after Sony Classical received the packet, Taylor heard from Jeremy Caulton, Charlotte Church’s former producer. This resulted in an audition in New York for Mr. Peter Gelb and Ms. Laura Mitgang, and the rest of the Sony team. The audition went very well, and Taylor was offered a developmental recording contract with Sony Classical as a classical/crossover artist. Mr. Jeremy Caulton was set to be the consultant on her project. However, in early 2005, Taylor was caught in the middle of a major corporate transition, and herproject was not to be.

Taylor’s plans for the future are to bring her music to others through her concert and television appearances, CD’s and, maybe even someday at the Metropolitan Opera, or on the Broadway stage. Taylor is an energetic, happy teenager, who loves performing beautiful music. It’s certain wherever her dreams take her, she will strive to connect with her audience, and have fun in the process.

Taylor's hobbies include music (of course), cross country running, driving (she has recently got her driver's license), acting and reading.

When asked where did her voice 'come from'? She replies that it is a gift from God. Then, she goes on to talk about her grandmother, who recorded a few records herself, way back in the 1930's. These records were played regionally in the mid-western USA.
